Sunbury Day Hospital receives funding boost

The Sunbury Day Hospital will receive new equipment as part of the Metropolitan Health Infrastructure Fund.

The medical centre on Macedon Street will receive a reverse osmosis filtration system, which is used to purify water for the health of patients in dialysis applications and for regular consumption.

The $200 million dollar funding scheme comes via the state government, with the aim of improving safety of services, enhancing service capacity and improving general amenities.

The fund was established in 2020 within the Victorian budget and will provide cash injections to 26 health services.
