Motorists are being reminded to slow down and give right of way to ducks on a Sunbury road.
A sign has been erected at Canterbury Avenue to alert people that ducks frequently cross the road in the wake of resident
concerns.
Hume councillor Jack Medcraft said the council had received a number of complaints that ducks were being run over and killed in the street.
He said the council wanted to remind drivers that they should be mindful of the wildlife, rather than driving through without care.
“I’m a protector of ducks,” he said. “Hopefully we see a change.”
