Celebrity chef Tonia Todman will be cooking up a storm at the Kyneton Men’s Shed.

Ms Todman will present a series of two-hour cooking lessons across 10 weeks to demonstrate how to easily prepare meals for one or two people.

She said she was looking forward to presenting men and women with new recipes they can take home to recreate.

“I was delighted when the Kyneton Men’s Shed asked me to help conduct this terrific series of cooking lessons,” she said.

“I am aiming at making the meals simple, yet nutritious and deliciously healthy.

“I know the problems of cooking for one or two, so many of these meals will be able to be frozen.

“I will be ensuring all of the meals are tasty and cheerful, and easily affordable.”

Shed chairman John Mitchell said the course was open to everyone, irrespective of age or gender.

“I know from experience that junk food is often seen as an easy option. The meals Tonia will demonstrate are simple to make. They will certainly be a better option than hamburgers, pizza or fish and chips,” he said.

The course cost to Macedon Ranges Men’s Shed members is $50 an $150 for non-members.

The cooking series begins July 13 at 10am, at 2 Riverwalk Boulevarde, Kyneton.
