An animal nursery, farm shed, pet parade, giant maze and free activity zone are just a few of the things that will catch the attention of children like Scarlett, Poppy, Thomas and Gus (pictured) at this week’s Kyneton Show.
The 155th event will also include Kyneton Idol, a ute muster, carnival, youth tent, and fireworks on Friday evening, as well as traditional agricultural show events on Saturday.
Agricultural society secretary Josephine Rutledge says a new 40×10-metre haybale maze will add to the many free activities that proved popular last year.
The maze will be filled with quizzes to make getting out even more of a challenge.
‘‘We’ve worked really hard to ensure that once families go in the gates, there’s something free for them to do the entire day, whether its woodwork or playing with the animals, riding the crazy bikes or having a pony ride,’’ Ms Rutledge says.
Young local talent, including Mosey, Jimmy and Paige, and Point of No Return, will hit the stage as part of the council’s Music in the Sticks program.
Entries for art classes close Wednesday.
