United fall short to Mariners

Western United came up 1-0 short against the Central Coast Mariners on Saturday and now sit in third position on the ladder after Melbourne Victory recorded a win and jumped to second.

United held the game scoreless until the 81st minute where Garang Kuol scored.

The game featured seven shots to 19 going the way of the Mariners, while one to four were on target going to the Mariners.

United will take on Newcastle Jets in their next game.
