Sunbury Lions look set to kick off their season next year against Redan in the Ballarat Football Netball League.
In a draft fixture released by the league last week, the Lions will host Redan on April 21. Lake Wendouree has a bye.
The Lions look set to play one night match, against Melton in round 4, which has been a regular occurrence in the fixture in recent years.
Like this year, the Lions will do a lot of their travel in the first part of the season.
The Lions don’t travel to Ballarat after round 13, with a range of home matches and games against other sides in the eastern bloc.
The Lions’ A-grade netball grand final replay against North Ballarat City will come in round 6, while the B, C and D-grade grand final rematches – all between Sunbury and Lake Wendouree – are in round 11.
The Lions will have two weeks off in May with a bye the week after the break for AFL Victoria Worksafe Community Championships. The Lions second bye comes in round 15.
The BFNL grand finals will be held on September 22 at Mars Stadium.
