Sunbury Salvos seek collectors

Sunbury residents are being urged to join the army – if only for a day.

The Salvation Army has put a call out for volunteers ahead of this year’s Red Shield Appeal, which will run from May 21-29.

Auxiliary Lieutenant Andrew Webb says all hands are needed on deck for the major fundraiser, which helped the Salvos support 1300 Sunbury residents last year.

Anyone can sign up to rattle tins for the appeal, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
