Two Sunbury residents are loving thy neighbours after the pair shared in a $1 million lotto win yesterday.

The neighbours, who usually buy QuickPick tickets, had a change of heart and instead opted to enter into Monday’s $1 million draw as they bought their weekly ticket.

One of the winners said he ran straight over to his neighbour’s house as soon as he saw the draw.

“I checked our ticket last night after the draw, and as I was scrolling, I saw we had all six numbers,” he said.

“We checked it about 100 times! We couldn’t believe it.

“We’ve always dreamt about winning division one, but honestly, we would’ve been happy with just a few thousand dollars. This is better than we could’ve imagined!”

They held one of the two division one winning entries across Australia, with the other winner hailing from Queensland.
