Bright young talent, community groups, shiny street machines and local emergency service heroes were on parade as thousands of people celebrated SunFest’s 40th anniversary at the weekend.

Large crowds lined central Sunbury for the traditional parade on Saturday, which included many of the festival’s past presidents.

The quality of local performers who were part of Friday night’s talent shows impressed many, as did the scale of Saturday’s carnival at the Village Green, which culminated with a spectacular fireworks display.

Sunday’s Pets on the Green, live concerts and annual fun run were among other highlights.
