Macedon’s aspiring rock gods Lazerlips are set to compete in FreeZA Push Start’s annual Battle of the Bands regional final later this year. The four-member band took out the winning title in the Macedon Ranges heat at Kyneton Town Hall earlier this month. Lazerlips guitarist and vocalist Luke Pender, from Macedon, said the win was “astonishing and heartwarming”. “I just wrote these songs in my room for people to enjoy, so it is a big thing.” William Pain, Toby Orlando and Jamie Walsh rocked alongside him on stage.
