Sunbury Girl Guides hope the sale of close to 1500 boxes of biscuits will help raise enough money to allow them all to attend camp in August.

Girls and leaders have been kept busy since a large order of traditional chocolate and gluten-free shortbread was delivered to their Miller Street hall last week.

Unit leader Rose Le Guier says Guides are giving about 60 Sunbury girls aged 5-18 the chance to develop attitudes at the camp that will serve them well throughout their lives while also fostering lasting friendships.

“Money raised will go towards teaching young girls and women life skills such as empowerment, resilience, respect, dedication and team work,” she says.

The unit will be selling biscuits at Bunnings Sunbury from 10am this Sunday. More details: 0409 191801
