Goonawarra Primary’s fundraising superheroes

Goonawarra Primary School was taken over by superheroes on a mission to raise funds for the Red Shield Appeal last Friday.

Wonder Woman and BatGirl were popular costume choices among the girls, while Superman was favored by the boys, said teacher Rhiannon Lo Bosco.

“The younger kids got right into the theme,” Ms Lo Bosco said.

The students raised $371.85 from gold coin donations, with the money going towards the Red Shield Appeal.

The school holds a similar event on the last Friday of each month to raise funds for charities.
