In a post by the Macedon Ranges Eyewatch Facebook page, police said the vehicle that was targeted was parked near 14/44 Aitken Street in Gisborne.

“Between 05:00 and 05:30 two vehicles attended with the first one, a late lowered Ford or Holden with a sunroof checking out the area and the second one, a dark coloured hatch, possibly a BMW or a VW Golf,” police said.

“The passenger of the second vehicle gets out and breaks into the tradies van, stealing numerous locksmith tools.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Senior Constable Newton at the Gisborne Police Station on 54282500.
