Bears, baskets and biscuits

There’s a bear in there, and a rug as well.

The Riddells Creek Neighbourhood House will host a teddy bears’ picnic next month for children to play games and tell stories.

House president Kristine Rawlinson said she was looking forward to the fun-filled day.

“Starting at 10am, the day will be filled with fun activities for the whole family,” she said.

“Bring your teddy bears and picnic rug and enjoy story time, teddy bear art and crafts, singing and dancing, face painting and everyone’s favourite, the animal farm.”

On the day, there will be classic games like the egg and spoon race, teddy bear running relay and pin the tail on the teddy.

The teddy bears’ picnic is on Saturday, November 23, between 10am-1pm at the Dromkeen Homestead, 1012 Kilmore Road, Riddells Creek.

Story times will be at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm.

Children cost $5 and adults are free. Lunch can be purchased at the Dromkeen cafe.
