A snowy spring in the Macedon Ranges

Spring has sprung a very cold snap in the Macedon Ranges.

Instead of sunshine, the first week of the season brought several days of snowfall.

Temperatures were at freezing point and snow on Mount Macedon created a spectacular, yet dangerous, winter wonderland.

Emergency services were forced to close Mount Macedon’s Cameron Drive and Lionshead and Barringo roads in the interest of safety last Tuesday.

Last week snow also fell in Woodend, Trentham, Springhill, Kyneton, Edgecombe, Hesket, Lancefield, Kilmore, Macedon and Riddells Creek.
