Lego land comes alive

Macedon Ranges libraries will host school holiday Lego challenges from June 27-July 8. Other activities will include live performances, cute crafting, robotics, a Frozen singalong and a publishing workshop for children aged 8-12.

Get in the swim

There’ll be inflatable fun and a whole lot more at aquatic centres in Gisborne and Kyneton next school holidays. Intensive learn to swim programs will also be offered from June 27 to July 1.

Through a long-ago lens

Four rare Australian short films, including a promotional movie shot in Kyneton in 1924, will provide a fascinating look at how the Macedon Ranges and surrounds has changed. Morning Movies is at Kyneton town hall from 11.30am this Friday. Tickets: $24 adults; $19 concession.

Lancefield on High

Pick up a bargain at the next Lancefield farmers market at the High Street plantation from 9am-1pm, this Saturday.

Market on the move

The last Rotary market at the Elizabeth Drive community centre in Sunbury will be held on July 2. Lots of stalls offering winter woollies, plants, produce, hot food, coffee, car boot sales and lucky door prizes. It’s from 9am-2pm. The market will move to Sunbury Memorial Hall in August.

Table tennis for seniors

Seniors can keep their hand in and have a bit of fun as part of a new social table tennis group that meets every Wednesday. Cost: $3. All equipment provided. Clarke Oval stadium, 1-3pm.

Help with arthritis

Macedon Ranges Arthritis Peer Support Group meets at Woodend Neighbourhood House, 1-3pm, on the first Monday of the month.
