Volunteers needed for Sunbury driving service

A new batch of volunteers is needed to ensure that a valuable Sunbury service continues to help senior and disabled residents get to medical and social appointments. Sunbury Community Health’s volunteer driving service, which has been running for 12 years, takes pre-approved Sunbury, Diggers Rest and Bulla residents to appointments outside the area when a family member or friend is unable to take them. The service is available from 8.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. All trips are made in SCH vehicles. Senior client services officer Jan Jolly said 15-20 drivers were needed.
