Malmsbury fire charges

Two teenagers have been charged following a fire at the Malmsbury Railway Station on January 31.

Emergency services were called to Daylesford-Malmsbury Road about 5.45pm after reports the station master’s residence was on fire.

Crews extinguished the blaze and the fire was deemed to be suspicious.

On Sunday detectives charged a 17-year-old Bendigo girl and 16-year-old Bendigo boy with burglary and criminal damage by fire.

Both have been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
