A watch and act alert has been issued for the suburbs of Bolinda, Clarkefield and Riddells Creek after a grass fire broke out at Konagaderra Road in Clarkefield this afternoon.
SES Sunbury provided the alert on its social media requesting that individuals in the area stay near shelter as the fire is not yet under control.
The fire is travelling north towards Bolinda and is impacting Melbourne Lancefield Road.
SES Sunbury is advising that people avoid the area until the situation is brought under control.
“Staying close to a building where you can shelter is the safest option, as conditions can change suddenly,” A SES Sunbury spokesperson said.
