New fitness stations have been installed across the Macedon Ranges.
Locals can find the stations at the Campaspe River Trail in Kyneton, the File Mile Creek in Woodend and Romsey and along Jacksons Creek in Gisborne.
The equipment is built to handle the elements and feature a number of exercise options for a range of fitness levels, including a sky runner, elliptical trainer and a seated pull-down bench
The state government provided more than $148,000 for the fitness stations as part of it’s Community Sports Infrastructure Fund.
Macedon MP Mary-Anne Thomas said the outdoor fitness stations will provide locals and visitors more opportunities to maximise the benefits of the outdoors.
“These new fitness stations in the Macedon Ranges add a whole new dimension to the popular outdoor trails in the district, opening up a new set of outdoor trails in the district, opening up a new set of outdoor fitness opportunities for locals and visitors alike,” she said.
“Better sport and recreation facilities make it easier for Victorians to get back to local sport and recreation when it is safe to do so and lead healthy and active lifestyles.”
