As principal of Holy Cross Primary School, Tony Falls acknowledges that starting primary school is a major milestone for any child. He says that the choice of school a child becomes part of is very important, as the whole family becomes part of the community.

“Building positive relationships and experiences in the early years is important to long-term development, learning and wellbeing,” Mr Falls continues.

“Holy Cross Primary School prides itself on living out the Gospel values. We are committed to supporting social justice initiatives, raising awareness and funds to support those in need.

“Primary education is as much about social learning as it is about academic learning. Social skills will support you in life. Education is about learning to think and question and make informed choices.

“Teaching and learning is based around the needs of each student, and assessment of data is used to inform teaching for improved student learning outcomes.”

The school, established in 1996, perches on nearly nine hectares, which allows students to be involved in the Outdoor Education program.

“Our students are able to learn about life cycles and our impact on the environment. We have a … vegetable garden, a vineyard and an olive grove, as well as a variety of animals.”

Families are encouraged to take a virtual school tour on the website below, as well as view an information video.
