Members of the Macedon Ranges Potters have been putting in long hours at the pottery wheel and kiln in preparation for their upcoming exhibition.
The creative group will again be displaying clay artworks at the Woodend Winter Arts Festival over the Queen’s Birthday weekend.
The members work with a variety of clays, glazes and techniques to develop functional, sculptural and wearable pieces of art.
Nic Germano is one of the 11 enthusiastic potters who have been making and exhibiting with the Macedon Ranges Potters for a number of years.
Mr Germano also teaches the art at Sunbury’s Boilerhouse Community Arts Centre at Jacksons Hill.
Most of the artists will be available to chat about their works and careers on Saturday, June 10, from 2-4pm. Light refreshments will be on offer.
The pottery exhibition will be held at Woodend Community Hub on Forest Street, Woodend, from Friday, June 9 through to Monday, June 11, open each day from 10am-4pm.
Entry will be free.
