This weekend the 17th annual Malmsbury Village Fayre is set to be bigger and better than ever.
Held in Malmsbury Botanic Gardens, the not-for-profit community event will take on a garden party theme as it expands around the lake for the first time.
More than 2000 people have attended in previous years, and fayre committee president Sue Everett said organisers anticipated locals and tourists would support the event again.
“This year the fayre is going to be huge,” Ms Everett said. “We are expecting thousands of people from across central Victoria as well as those travelling up from Melbourne by car and V/Line train.”
More than 80 food trucks, croquet, a stilt performance, a medieval troupe, sword fighting, local wines and live music will be among the attractions on Sunday.
Ms Everett said visitors would find entertainment for all ages.
“Enjoy the music while the kids are entertained with free face-painting, jumping castles and storytelling in the teddy bears’ picnic area,” she said.
“You can even grab a few beautiful locally-made Christmas presents.”
Malmsbury Village Fayre will be held on Sunday, November 19, from 10am-4pm in Malmsbury Botanic Gardens. Entry $2.
