Gran’s multi-million win

A Werribee grandmother says she is over the moon after winning more than $2.8 million in TattsLotto earlier this month.

The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, won $2,857,142.86 in a TattsLotto $20 million Gold Lotto weekend superdraw.

Nationally, there were seven division one winners in the draw.

The grandmother purchased her winning 36-game QuickPick entry at Target Lotto in Hoppers Crossing.

The woman said that she has been “playing Lotto every week for years and years”.

“When I checked the numbers and saw that I had won I couldn’t believe it,” she said.

The woman, a pensioner, said she planned to buy herself a house and a new car with some of her winnings, plus help out her family.

Target Lotto owner Carlo Addamo said he was thrilled his outlet had sold another division one winning entry – the 34th major prize won by a customer of the business.

“I’ve owned the store for 17 years and we’ve always considered ourselves really lucky,” he said.

“We renovated and moved locations three years ago and were hoping that our luck would follow us and we are happy to say it has – this is the third major prize we’ve sold in three years.

“We are so happy for our customer and so thrilled she is a regular and local to the area.

“We wish her all the best with her prize.”
