Call for witnesses

Police are appealing for assistance following an affray at a hotel in Watton Street, Werribee on June 9 about 4pm. Police said a group of men entered the sports bar and allegedly armed themselves with pool cues before a fight broke out, which resulted in several people being injured. Police have charged two 22-year-old men from Wyndham Vale and have released images of five other men who may be able to help with their inquiries. Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000.

Trailer theft

Police in the Hobsons Bay, Wyndham and Maribyrnong areas have warned residents about an increase in trailer thefts. Police said the offenders also used the trailers to steal other property from rural and metro areas. Police said owners should consider using locking mechanisms to deter thefts.
