Tigers continue good form

Kyneton continues to keep the pressure on the Bendigo Football League top five beating Kangaroo Flat on Saturday.

Having won three of their last four matches, with the fourth one abandoned, the Tigers have started to hit some form.

After a couple of thrillers, the Tigers were keen to put a bit more of a gap in against Kangaroo Flat.

The Tigers set the win up in the first half, having got out to a four goal lead at quarter time and having increased the margin at the main break.

The Tigers kept the momentum in the second half, winning 10.15 (75)-4.3 (37).

Cameron Manuel continued his good form with three goals, while Ethan Foreman and Hamish Yunghanns kicked two goals each.

Harrison Huntley and Hamish Yunghanns were named the Tigers best.

The Tigers sit two points outside the top five after eight rounds.

Meanwhile, Gisborne’s back-to-back premiership dreams took another hit with a big loss to South Bendigo on Saturday.

South Bendigo flew out of the blocks with eight goals to two in the first quarter and still led by 17 points at half time.

The second half was all South Bendigo which kicked 10 goals to one, sealing a 20.11 (131)-8.15 (63) win.

Hayden Doricic kicked three goals for the Bulldogs with Darcy Young the only other multiple goal kicker with two.

Matthew Merrett and Macklan Lord were the Bulldogs best.

The Bulldogs sit with just two wins after eight rounds and are in eighth spot.

In the netball, Gisborne returned to the winners list with a 59-27 win against South Bendigo. The win moves the Bulldogs back up to second spot.

It was a tough day for Kyneton, losing 72-34 to Kangaroo Flat.

Kyneton sits in seventh spot, a game outside the top five.
