Sunbury past players day this weekend

Sunbury Cricket Club will host a past players day on Saturday as its first XI takes on West Newport in the final game of the Victorian Turf Cricket Association Steve McNamara Shield.

The club is inviting all sponsors and past players join them on the day.

“This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with our sponsors, who play a vital role in enhancing the standards and amenities we enjoy, and to catch up with friends and former teammates you may not have seen in some time,” secretary Marty Kelders said.

“We take great pride in our recent achievements and believe this season has reached new heights. It would be wonderful to share this success with everyone who has contributed to its success.

The match will begin at 12.30pm and there will be an afternoon at 2.50pm.

The club will continue festivities after the game.
