Riddells Creek Netball Association celebrated its 30th anniversary at a function on Sunday.
Former and current day players, along with past and current committee members joined together to remember premierships and good times.
All of the clubs presidents from across the 30 years attended.
The association, which has teams from under-9s to under-18s, currently plays in the Macedon Ranges Netball Association. They also have a Grasshoppers program for younger players.
It’s one of the bigger clubs in the MRNA.
The association started as one team with players from the local primary school. They officially became an association in 1990.
Many of the association’s current players are second or even third generation of players from the same families.
Several players from the association have gone on to play at higher levels, including the Victorian Netball League, represented the region at regional championships and some are part of the Victoria University training squad. Madeline Stewart who was a member of the Victorian under-21 team.
Current president Flo Wallace said the association would love to expand and again be able to hold a local competition on Tuesday nights.
