It hasn’t taken Madison Prespakis long to have an impact in the AFLW competition, with the Blues star nominated for the AFL Women’s Rising Star award in her second match.
The Sunbury teenager has looked right at home in her first two matches, among the Blues best in both matches.
On Sunday against Adelaide, Prespakis had 20 possessions, including 10 contested possessions, eight clearances and a goal. It was enough to earn her a rising star nomination alongside Fremantle’s Sabreena Duffy
Prespakis had 13 possessions in her opening game against North Melbourne in round one.
In both matches Prespakis has received coach’s votes for her performances.
Prespakis, who played her junior football with Romsey Junior Football Club, the Sunbury Lions and Calder Cannons was taken at pick three in last year’s AFLW draft.
