Kyneton Tigers broke through for their first win in the Country Basketball League north west competition.

Having lost their first three matches, the Tigers easily accounted for Swan Hill Flyers on Saturday night, winning 65-47.

Jordan Mangan top-scored with 17 points, while Jacob Plowman had his best scoring night of the season with 12 points.

The Tigers backed up on Sunday against the Horsham Hornets, but they weren’t able to repeat the efforts from the night before, as they were smashed 84-47.

No Tigers player was able to score double figures with Dylan Tunn top-scoring with eight points.

The Tigers sit sixth after four rounds.

The women’s side had a mixed weekend with a win and loss.

The Tigers got their second win of the season, defeating Swan Hill, 60-44 on Saturday night.

Jess Mangan continued her great start to the season with 17 points, while her sister Brooke scored 12 points and Molly Greetham scored 10.

On Sunday, the Tigers fell just short of making it a perfect weekend, losing to Horsham Lady Hornets, 61-57.

Veteran Michelle Fletcher top-scored with 16 points and was well supported by Adele Rogers and Brooke Mangan in the absence of Jess Mangan who has been the Tigers standout this season.

The match was a good test of where the Tigers are at with the Lady Hornets undefeated and on top of the ladder.
