Australian lawn bowler Carla Krizanic said she wanted to bring home some extra luggage from the 2021 Australian Champion of Champions tournament, and she sure did after winning the tournament over the weekend in Gold Coast.

Krizanic who is from the Sunbury Bowls Club recorded a stunning three wins to leapfrog from third to first in a tense final day to win the two-day event.

The Commonwealth and World Champion joined Dawn Hayman as the only two-time women winners of the event.

Krizanic previously won gold playing among a team of four in the World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Christchurch in 2016.

This time around Krizanic’s preparation for a tournament was different to the past with her four-month-old baby to care for although she was still able to perform at her best.
