Gisborne’s Bendigo Netball League season is over after a loss to Strathfieldsaye in the preliminary final on Saturday.
After making it through the first two rounds of the finals by the barest of margins, it was no third time lucky for the Bulldogs.
They trailed by one goal at quarter-time and five goals at the main break.
Then the Storm turned it on, shooting 24 goals to nine in the second half to win 46-26.
The Storm now play Golden Square in the grand final.
It’s a second successive year the Bulldogs have exited the finals at the preliminary final stage.
