The 2021/22 Gisborne and District Cricket Association will kick off on the weekend of November 13, according to association president Rob McIntyre.
The association’s restart comes as the state surpassed the 80 per cent double vaccination rate for eligible Victorians, which provides greater freedoms for community sport.
The GDCA will welcome an additional 18 teams to the competition this year, with a total of 188 sides registering for the summer.
