Bundoora fell just short in its attempts to reach the Northern Football League division 1 preliminary final.
Greensborough kicked the first five goals of their semi-final, before the Bulls answered with five of their own.
A late Greensborough goal in the second quarter gave it a five-point lead at the main break.
The second half was a more even contest, with neither side able to kick more than two goals in a row.
Importantly for Greensborough, it was able to hold the lead the whole time. Three goals to two in the final quarter wasn’t enough for the Bulls, who lost 10.15 (75)-10.9 (69).
Gary Moorcroft was the main goal-scorer for the Bulls with three.
