Hanging Rock completed an undefeated regular Gisborne and District Cricket Association Jensen Shield season with victory against Lancefield on Saturday. The Tigers made 9-121 from their overs, with Hanging Rock finishing 6-126 in reply. The Heelers finish the regular season on top and will face Diggers Rest Bulla in a knockout semi final. Rupertswood will host Bacchus Marsh in the other semi final.

Macedon’s A-grade side will have some new faces this Riddell District Netball League season. The Cats have announced the signings of Bronte Green and Hetty Donoghue. Green is a young and dynamic midcourter, while Donoghue, who comes from a basketball background will add some height in the goaling circle. The Cats have also announced a number of re-signings including Katie Clarke, Janelle Tate and Chloe Wilson.

Kyneton Golf will face Lancefield in the Central Highlands Bowls Division’s top flight grand final. Facing minor premiers Romsey in the preliminary final on Saturday, Golf came away with the win 57 (14)-50 (2). Barry Godbolt and Peter Linehan were the winning skips for Golf. The loss means that Romsey exits the finals in straight sets after being the team to beat all season. In division 3, Diggers Rest 2 will play Macedon 2. In division 2, Diggers Rest will play Romsey 2 in the preliminary final this Saturday.
Coates Talent League
The Calder Cannons have announced their squads for the upcoming Coates Talent League seasons. The boys squad includes Lancefield’s Blair Huggins, Sunbury Lions’ Lachlan Urbon and Patrick Said, Gisborne Giants Riley Leedham, Gisborne’s Rye Penny, Gisborne Rookies’ Shane Clough and Macedon’s Xavier Thorburn. The girl’s squad includes Gisborne Rookies Alannah David, Amy O’Kelly, Bride Collings and Alexia Todorovic, Sunbury Lions’ Eden Grant, Grace Azzopardi and Reese Sutton, and Woodend’s Katrina Bau and Maisy Crowther.
