Voting for the Macedon Ranges first Community Choice Awards is now open, with 79 local businesses nominated.
Macedon Ranges council announced on April 3 that voting was open and will close Friday June 2.
It said there has been an excellent response to the choice awards so far, which recognises excellence in customer service.
Council planning and environment director Rebecca Stockfeld said it has been great to see the positive response from the community.
“It shows how passionate our community is about supporting and rewarding local businesses for good service,” Ms Stockfeld said.
“The power is again with the people – I encourage everyone to follow up on these initial nominations and support who you think is deserving of this recognition with a vote.”
The five categories of awards are for agribusiness and primary production, health and wellbeing, hospitality and accommodation, retail and service, and trades and manufacturing.
The winners will be announced on Tuesday, June 13.
