Young ones with green thumbs are invited to be part of a monthly garden club at Sunbury.

An offshoot of the popular Harvest Sunbury produce swap, Little Green Thumbs gives children the chance to dig, plant and pick their own fruit and vegetables at the community garden on the corner of Rolling Meadows and Highgrove drives in Goonawarra.

They can also enjoy the fruits of their labours, quite literally.

‘‘We do things like show them how to make their own lemonade,’’ spokeswoman Lina Schiafone says.

“It’s a real hit.”

Activities start at 10am.

No bookings required.

The next event will be held this Saturday.
