SES starters

Interested in being an SES volunteer? An information evening will be held from 7-9pm on Monday, August 28, at the Gisborne SES unit, 33 Robertston Street. Gisborne SES members will demonstrate equipment and answer questions.

 

Spring fair

The Anglican Parish of Gisborne will host its annual spring fair on Saturday, September 2, from 10am-2pm on the corner of Fisher and Brantome streets, Gisborne.

 

Vegie gardeners

Sunbury Community Garden Group is seeking new members who are keen on gardening and enjoy growing their vegetables organically.

Working bee

Sunbury Garden Club will hold a working bee at the Sunbury Railway Station garden on Sunday, August 27, from 9.30am. Come along with gloves and gardening tools.

Wine and food fun

The Carlsruhe CFA Wine and Food Festival will take place on Sunday, September 3, from 11am-4pm at Degraves Mill, Skelsmergh Hall, 688 Cobb and Co Road, Carlsruhe. Showcsing local art, musicians and food, wine, beer, craft stalls and children’s activities. Entry costs $5, under 18s free.

 

Help share the dignity

Sanitary products for homeless and at-risk Australian women are being collected at donation bins at Coles supermarkets in Sunbury, Gisborne and Woodend on behalf of Share the Dignity. Monetary donations can be made at www.sharethedignity.com.au.

 

Live at the Chapel

A Live at the Chapel Sunbury free music event will feature singer and songwriter Danielle, supported by Alzzy. At Bethany Lutheran Church, corner Brook and Jackson streets, Sunbury, on Sunday, August 27, from 6pm.
