A Werribee woman says she thought she was being scammed after receiving a phone call telling her that she had won $100,000 in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot, which was drawn today.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said she was sitting at her desk at work when she answered the call.
A Tatts official rang the woman, after she purchased an entry into the super jackpot online.
The woman said that after answered, she hung up straight away, thinking it was a prank call.
“I checked my account while I was at work and when I first logged in all I saw was the cost of the ticket, which was $2.20. I thought ‘I’ve been pranked’,” she said.
“But when (Tatts) called back a second time, I started to think it could be real.
“I then clicked on the ticket and saw I had won $100,000 – I couldn’t believe it.
“I was so excited I felt like screaming, but I was at work so I couldn’t.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her Lucky Lotteries windfall, the woman said she thought of her family first.
“I’ll spoil my husband and my kids,” she said.
“We’ll use it to put a deposit down on a home too.
“We’ll definitely do some celebrating this weekend.
“First on the to-do list is a nice dinner somewhere with my husband and kids.”
