Water supply change for Macedon Ranges

Greater Western Water has advised residents in select Macedon Ranges towns that their water supply has been temporarily changed.

Gisborne, Gisborne South, New Gisborne, Macedon, Mount Macedon, Riddells Creek and Woodend residents have had their water switched from Rosslynne Reservoir to Melbourne’s supply system from Monday, June 23.

This switch is so GWW can carry out planned maintenance at the Rosslynne Water Filtration Plant, which is scheduled to take several months.

GWW advises the water supply should be switched to the local supply by early November.

Customers in these areas may notice a slight change in the taste or small of their tap water during the switch, however GWW advises this is nothing to be concerned about and water remains safe to drink and meets all drinking water standards.
