There will be a full intersection closure at Evans and Stations streets and 24-hour works from 9pm, Monday, September 12, to 6am, Saturday, September 17, as part of the Sunbury Line Upgrade.
Crews will be working on the Evans Street entrance to the new road underpass, conducting road and footpath rectification works through the area.
“The Evans and Station Street intersection will be closed to vehicles and cyclists and a detour will be in place,” a Sunbury Line Upgrade update said.
“The pathway on the western side of Evans Street will be closed, pedestrian access across Station Street will be maintained.
“Traffic management will be in place to assist with local access.”
The update said signage and wayfinding are installed around the work sites to direct vehicles and pedestrians.
“During these activities, there will be different traffic arrangements in place to ensure works are conducted safely and efficiently, with as little disruption as possible,” the update said.
