Tim Tam the goat is having a wheely good time.
The little bush goat arrived at animal rescue farm Edgar’s Mission last month after he was found by a bushwalker.
Edgar’s Mission founder and director Pam Ahern said it was heartbreaking to see Tim Tam struggling to walk.
“He couldn’t use his back legs at all,” she said.
“He was still a plucky little goat and he would try and drag himself around on his front legs. His back legs just couldn’t do what his body wanted to do.
“It was really sad, he’s such a happy little guy.”
Tim Tam has now been gifted with a fancy new set of wheels to help get the groove back in his hooves.
“It’s helped enormously,” Ms Ahern said.
“We do two or three sessions a day in the cart and you can see the difference. He can stand a little bit on his own.”
Ms Ahern said she was touched by Tim Tam’s story.
“It’s just a lovely story of hope,” she said.
“It’s a real testament to the goodness of the human heart – a member of the public saw this goat in trouble, and they knew that what they chose to do next decided whether he lived or died. It reaffirms my belief in the human heart.”
