Three charged as part of ongoing Macedon Ranges drug investigation

Two women and a man have been charged with drug-related offences, after police executed a number of warrants in Kyneton, Riddells Creek and Sunbury on Thursday as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

A 27-year-old Riddells Creek woman, a 54-year-old Sunbury woman and a 33-year-old Kyneton man were arrested on Thursday morning by  detectives from the Macedon Ranges Crime Investigation Unit.

Police allege that traffickable quantities of marijuana, cannabis, ecstasy tablets, ice and methylsulfonylmethane were found during the searches.

Allegedly stolen items including power tools and electrical goods were also found.

The Riddells Creek woman has been charged with trafficking cannabis and ice and was remanded to appear at Bendigo magistrates court today.

The Sunbury woman and Kyneton man have been charged with a number of drug-related offences and were bailed to appear at Castlemaine magistrates court at a later date.

A 31-year-old Kyneton woman is assisting police with their inquiries.

The investigation is ongoing.
