Temporary overnight road closures in Sunbury

Drainage works as part of the Gap Road level crossing removal in Sunbury will include temporary overnight road closures in both directions on Station Street, between Barkly and O’Shanassy streets.

From March 21 to April 1, out of hours works will run from 8pm to 6am Monday to Friday, with day works from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 1pm on Saturdays.

The road will be reopened each morning after night works are complete and signage to guide road users through the area. During day works, there will be intermittent outer lane closures in place on Station Street.

Rail Projects Victoria (RPV) said generator-powered lighting towers may be required at night but where possible, would be directed away from residential properties.

“These works are expected to generate medium levels of noise and vibration, with intermittent periods of high level noise,” RPV said.

RPV advised there will be an increase in construction vehicles travelling on local roads to access the work site.
