Temporary lane closures and overnight works in Sunbury

There will be temporary lane closures and overnight works on Horne and Evans streets in Sunbury, from February 7 to 28.

Sunbury Line Upgrade (SLU) has put out an update as finishing works on the Gap Road Level Crossing Removal Project continue, which will include saw cutting, cable haulage, footpath reinstatement around Horne Street and Gap Road, the erection of power poles on Evans Street and installing and connecting new services under the bridge.

Construction activities will take place from 7pm to 7am from Tuesday, February 7, to Thursday, February 9, 7am to 6pm on Friday, February 10 and then again 7pm to 7am on Thursday, February 16 and Tuesday, February 21.

There will be a southbound lane closure on Horne Street from 7pm Tuesday, February 7, to 7pm, Friday, February 10, and a southbound road closure on Evans Street from 7pm to 7am each night from Tuesday, February 7, to Thursday, February 9.

A pedestrian detour will be put in place at the Horne Street and Gap Road intersection and the Station and Evans streets intersection from 7pm, Tuesday, February 7, to 7pm, Friday, February 10.

Evans Street will be closed from 7pm to 7am on Thursday, February 16, and Tuesday, February 21.

SLU advised that works were expected to generate medium levels of noise and vibration.
