Sunbury CFA’s response capability has been given a boost, with a local supermarket donating almost $1500 for new equipment.
Sunbury Supa IGA manager George Malevitis (pictured with volunteers Murray Cross and Jason Castles) visited the CFA station in Jackson Street to hand over money raised through the store’s community chest initiative.
Mr Cross says the donation will also allow the brigade to expand its various fire awareness programs.
