Sunbury pool leak update

Hume council announced repairs to the Sunbury Aquatic and Leisure Centre’s (SALC) 25-metre pool commenced on May 22, and are expected to cost about $45,000.

In a council meeting on Monday, May 22, council said the indoor pool experienced a leak in an underground pipe, and it expects the pool to be closed for two weeks from May 22.

Council said it estimates the repairs will cost approximately $30,000, and the cost of refunding memberships is approximately $15,000.

The pool was initially closed on Tuesday, May 16, after council said it was identified that immediate closure was required to carry out repairs.
