Sunbury mum becomes millionaire

A Sunbury mum won more than $1.4 million in TattsLotto at the weekend.

The mum purchased her winning ticket at Nextra Sunbury Newsagency. She held one of four division one-winning tickets in TattsLotto draw 4125, drawn on Saturday.

She said she had been awake all night with excitement after realising she’d won.

“Last night I saw a Facebook post that someone from our local newsagent had won division one,” she said.

“I checked my ticket and I’d won $13 so I didn’t think it could be me but then I checked my second ticket and there was almost $1.5 million in it.

“My head was spinning. It was such a strange feeling but it was amazing. I couldn’t get to sleep. I was up all night wondering if it was true.”

The mum said the win would make life “a lot easier”.

“I’ll keep working for now, but maybe I’ll retire a little earlier than I had planned,” she said.

“We will be able to help our children get ahead in a really big way.”
