Sunbury crafters mean business

Craftspeople and artisans are being given the chance to showcase their creativity via a pop-up shop established by the team behind Sunbury’s annual StreetLife small business festival.

Spokeswoman Sharyn Snook says Home Grown, open at 88 O’Shanassy Street, will showcase handmade items not available at other stores.

‘‘It will range from gorgeous furniture in a vintage or shabby-chic style to scarves and jewellery … there’s a real mix of stuff,’’ she said.

The store will initially run for four months. ‘‘But if it goes well, we’ll look to make it more permanent,” Ms Snook said.
