Throw on your flannelette shirt, tease out that big hair and squeeze into some black skinny jeans – it’s almost time to help raise money for children at Sunbury and Macedon Ranges Specialist School. Teachers Maylene Sands, Hannah Geary, Rex Hickman (at back) and eight-year-old Allannah already have their wardrobes sorted for the school’s ‘‘bogan bingo’’ night and comedy show. It’s on at Pitruzellos Estate Olive Grove and Winery, August 14, to raise money to upgrade grounds and buy an all-abilities swing for the school’s primary campus in Sunbury. The school’s last fundraiser helped buy an in-ground trampoline, providing a valuable opportunty to exercise for children with special needs.
